Friday 23 August 2019 | Cape Town

On arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be met by your private guide and vehicle and transferred to your hotel in Cape Town. Enjoy a delicious welcome dinner and some South African wine on arrival and meet your fellow travel companions. (D)

Saturday 24 August 2019 to Sunday 25 August 2019 | Cape Town

Explore Cape Town, surely one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

On Saturday, travel by cable car to the top of Table Mountain, with 360 degree views over Cape Town and its surrounds. Then on to Groot Constantia (established 1685), the oldest winery in Africa, for tasting and lunch. After lunch a visit to the expansive, and spectacular Kirstenbosch Gardens, on the site of Cecil Rhodes’ Cape Town residence.

Sunday will be more relaxed, allowing you to further explore Cape Town, especially the restaurant and shopping precincts on the V & A Waterfront, where your hotel is located. (B,L)

Monday 26 August 2019 | Stellenbosch/Paarl/Franschhoek

This morning after breakfast we travel into the heart of South Africa’s Winelands. First stop is Stellenbosch, one of South Africa’s oldest and prettiest towns. Then on to Paarl, centre of South Africa’s wine industry, and finally Franschhoek (‘French Corner’), first settled by Huguenot refugees, from France. On the way you will have a winery lunch, and the opportunity for several tastings. (B,L)

Thursday 29 August 2019 |Robertson

This morning after breakfast you will travel to the quaint and pretty town of Robertson, through some rugged and spectacular mountain scenery. On the way we will enjoy a tasting of Cap Classique (sparkling) wines, and a winery lunch. After lunch, further tastings at some of Robertson’s best wineries. (B,L)

Friday 30 August 2019 | Hermanus

This morning after breakfast we travel to Hermanus, reputedly the best land-based place in the world for whale watching. It is also the centre of the Walker’s Bay wine region – the coolest and most innovative in Africa. On the way we will visit the Hemel en Arde (Heaven and Earth) Valley, where we will have further wine tastings and lunch. (B,L)

Sunday 1 September 2019 | Manyeleti Game Reserve

This morning after breakfast you will be met and transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)

Flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit – Not included in costing

On arrival at Hoedspruit Airport you will be met and transferred by road to your lodge located in the Manyeleti Game Reserve (meaning ‘Place of the Stars’), which borders the Kruger National Park, between the Timbavati and the Sabi Sand Game Reserves. (B,D)
